AS-4cr: Main View of Aircraft

The deeply cambered wing of the original As-4 didn't like negative angles of attack or high speeds so it has been modified for outdoor flying. It is now a 6 mm thick crescent planform with an airfoil section. The wing is stiffened by 0.007" carbon fiber spar caps. They are inlet into the top and bottom of the wing to present a smooth surface to the airflow. Strips of 0.75 oz/sq yd.fiber glass cloth 0.4" wide are epoxied to the top and bottom surfaces of the V-tail to stiffen them. The glass is sufficiently faired by excess epoxy and doesn't need to be inlet. Packaging constraints and RFI considerations lead to a change to a Berg micro stamp receiver. The aircraft flies with the trim set to nuetral and should be launched using the body not the fan case. It has good power and sensitive controls and can loop and roll and will almost maintain level flight inverted.
