Continuing progress in motor and battery technology made it desirable to modernize this design. In addition to improved preformance the new equipment is cheaper and more readily availabe.

The carbon fiber spar caps are inlet into the top and bottom of the wings to present a smooth surface to the airflow. The landing gear is bound to the carbon fiber fuselage longeron with kevlar tow saturated with foam-safe cyano.

About four #6 lead shotgun pellets are required in the left wing tip to balance the offset battery.

Take offs: Because of the flat wing the model will not fly off on it's own. Hold a fair amount of back pressure on the stick and hammer the throtle for a STOL take off.

Flying: The model tends to tip stall in slow turns.

Landing: The model deadsticks like a stone so save some power for landings.
